This is organized by the Norwegian Association of Young Scientists and the National Centre for Space-related Education, in co-operation with the Norwegian Space Centre and the European Space Agency.
During the exciting and challenging one-week camp, 24 young people, 17 – 20 years old, from throughout Europe, experience
Norway’s sole operative space centre, guided and taught by professors, engineers and scientists.
The aim is to provide experiences in the natural sciences beyond those of ordinary schooling. The campers attend daily classes
in space-related topics and work together in groups to gain practical experience not available elsewhere in the country.
The Space Camp week ends with its high point, the launch of two rockets with payloads that the campers have assembled and readied for launch.
The Camp emphasizes educational excellence, but it also includes unique entertainment, such as a whale safari and seaside
bathing under the midnight sun.
Further information is available on the Space Camp website, which also has application forms, to be filled out and submitted
by the 1st May deadline.
