NAROM

The National Centre for Space-related Education (NAROM) is located at Andøya in the same buildings that house the facilities of the Andøya Rocket Range (ARR).

NAROM is a national centre and teaching laboratory for all levels of education in space-related topics.

NAROM teaching activities are co-ordinated with the research activities at ARR, the country’s sole space centre.

NAROM offers several educational activities, seminars and conferences related to space technology, space physics, the atmosphere and the environment. Participants actively use the unique facilities of the rocket range and its instruments and laboratories.

Every year, many school pupils, university and college students, teachers and others attend NAROM programmes to gain knowledge and experience unavailable elsewhere in the country. Theory and practice are uniquely integrated within the framework of high technology, against the backdrop of the breathtaking northern landscape.
